Leonard Maltin's Rating :

Should be :

IMDB Rating : 8.3
Rotten Tomatoes Rating : 88% (with critics) 94% (with audience)
Critics Consensus: Lighter and more comedic than its predecessor, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade returns the series to the brisk serial adventure of Raiders, while adding a dynamite double act between Harrison Ford and Sean Connery.
In his review Leonard says: "This deliberately old-fashioned Saturday matinee year has everything money can buy, but never really generates a sense of wonder and excitement."
I thought Leonard's 2 1/2 star rating was pretty low for this really good entry in to the Indiana Jones Series.
The whole thing really worked for me. I really liked Sean Connery in his role as Indiana's dad. I also thought the story was really good, and definitely was in style with the 1940's serials it sought to emulate.
A really good, light movie that just let's you sit back and relax and enjoy the scenery. They don't make movies like this anymore.
